M-50 HOLDINGHAUSEN, HITK
I'm Looking for information about John Henry HOLDINGHAUSEN and his wife
Catherine (HITK) who settled in Monroe County in approximatly 1838 or 1839.
They emigrated from Welschen Ennest, Germany in 1838. They had five children.
I only have informantion on one a William HOLDINGHAUSEN born in 1824. He
was the eldest son of John Henry. He became an American citizen in 1848
in Monroe County. William married Louisa Karoline Charloto Meyers from
Sock County Wisconsin. They later moved to Wisconsin and than to Kimmswick
Missouri in approximatley 1865. I'm looking for information about the other
4 children. Along with death information about John Henry and his wife

HOLMES, daughter of Thomas. After Thomas HOLMES died in Brooke County,
VA, his wife Anne (Nancy) lived with Isaac and Margaret ATKINSON and died
while with them at an age exceeding 100 years. Isaac ATKINSON was the first
representative and second senator for Monroe County. Where was he living
when Anne HOLMES died? Where is she buried? I think Isaac ATKINSON died
in Noble Co., OH. and was in Guernsey Co., OH at some point. Will respond

JONES. He was born in Monroe County in 1828-1829. In the 1850 census he
was living in Salem Township with a family by the name of SPELLMAN. There
were "JONES" families on both sides of this enumeration, but I have no
idea if they are related. In 1851 he moved to Lawrence County, OH where
he lived the rest of his life. In the 1880 Lawrence County census, he listed
his father having been born in Ireland and his mother in New Jersey. He
went by the names "A. J." and "Jackson". Any and all information would

receiving a death certificate for my ggrandfather William M. THOMAS, it
listed his mother as Jane MORGAN father unknown. Also to find a birth record
that might have some info as to who the father was. William THOMAS was
