Monroe County Ancestor's "J" Obituaries
Jackson, Forrest Delbert
The subject of this obituary was born near Rockport, Wood County, W. Va., on the 23d of October, 1879, and died near Cantwell, Richie county, W. Va., on the 17th day of October, 1899. If Forrest had lived six days longer he would have been 20 years old, just entering into manhood and in blooming youth. This reminds us very forcibly of the scripture saying that in the midst of life we are in death. Forrest was a good, kind, truthful boy, and was respected by all who knew him. His parents, John M. and Martha Jackson, were born and raised in Center Township, Monroe county, Ohio, and have many relatives and friends here who deeply sympathize with them in their sad bereavement. The remains were laid to rest in the Christian cemetery near Cantwell.
