Brown County Democrat May 10, 1928 CLARA PATTERSON Died Thursday at her home in Nashville. She was born in Woodsfield, Ohio in 1854. She married Samuel Patterson in 1873 on Weed Patch Hill, Brown County. They had five children, 2 children are deceased. surv. are Mrs. Charles Bradley, Indpls., Fred and Guy Patterson, both of Nashville,. Also surv. are 4 nieces, Blanch Guthrie, Los Angeles, Calif., Clara Farmer, Clinton, Ill., Ethel Collins of Indpls. & Bessie Tower, Tenn. and six nephews, Cecil & Foy Watts of Woodriver, Ill., Irvin & Robert N. Guthrie of Indpls., Ira Guthrie of Chicago & John Guthrie of Calif. Also surv. are several cousins: Mrs. Jennie Allison, Ella Durnal, Lennie Holh (sic. Hol), Josephine Stevens, Laura Donaldson, Wm. Hoy, Everett Hoy, Joe Hoy of Delvan, Ill., Juanita Hoy of Indpls., Mary Hoy of Indpls., Lowell Hoy of Indpls. and Lon Burton of Columbus.
PALMER, Georgia Mae Rice

Georgia Mae Rice Palmer, South Shenango Street, Mercer, died unexpectedly at 12:06 a.m. today (8-11-97) in Horizon Hospital System, Greenville. She was 77. Mrs. Palmer was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Franklin to Burris Washington and Mary Ellen Blair Rice. She retired from Mercer County Living Center, Coolspring Township; and the State Regional Correction Facility at Mercer. She was a member and deacon of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Mercer, and belonged to its Day Timers organization. Mrs. Palmer was a member of Brandy Springers, Mercer; and the Organ Club, a music club of Valley Organ, hermitage. She was a winner of several awards for her oil paintings and was renouned for her organ and piano playing throughout the valley. Surviving are: her husband, Kenneth Eugene Palmer Sr., whom she married July 14, 1937; a daughter, Mary Ellen Davey, Sharpsville; two sons, Kenneth E. Jr., Oil City; and David G., WOODSFIELD, Ohio; a brother, Gene Rice, Seneca, Pa.; a twin brother, George Rice, Lenexa, Ks.; three sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Mildred) Neal, Slippery Rock; Mrs. James (Beula) Jones, New Wilmington; and Gladys Corner, Cochranton; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Harold, Budd and Jack Rice; and a sister, Mable Martin.
